Volvo Canada has appointed Grey Canada its creative agency of record, it was announced Monday.
“This is a pivotal moment for the brand here in Canada,” said Margareta Mahlstedt-Karayiannis, vice-president of marketing at Volvo Cars of Canada in a release.
“The Grey team’s experience in the premium automotive segment will help us to re-establish Volvo in the Canadian market and their national structure will allow us to better support our retailer network and connect with consumers across Canada. In addition, their open approach to integrated communications ensures we are able to execute with excellence across all touch points, digital, social and traditional.”
Grey Canada will handle adaptations and original Canadian creative including digital design, direct, and social responsibilities for the brand. The agency will also be tasked with returning Volvo’s Canadian customer base to historical highs as it expands its lineup of automobiles.
Grey’s London office was named the global creative lead for the brand in January following a review of six agencies.
