Institute of Communication Agencies (ICA) has overhauled its website, improving design, functionality and content to allow agency members a better platform to showcase work and to provide easy access to industry-related news.

Agency work is now front and centre on the ICA homepage as part of a scrolling “Member Spotlight” section of the site that allows the 75 members to showcase recent campaigns, results and research.

Toronto agency Cundari handled the redesign.

“The Canadian advertising industry deserves a showcase that reaches the same high standards the industry strives to achieve,” said ICA chief executive officer Gillian Graham.

Also on the site is a 2012 timeline of ICA-run events along with industry festival and award shows such as the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. A brief description and links to the specific event site is included with each entry.

A gated section of the site grants members access to client case studies, videos and white papers on topics such as procurement.

Members can also sign up for the Flash Friday newsletter that provides links to the latest advertising and marketing news from around the world.

Content for the site is collected and managed by an ICA team led by Gardenia Flores, digital strategy and content manager.

In the coming months, the site will include a section that curates content from the agency member blogs and Facebook pages.

The site officially went live earlier this month in Toronto during the 2012 Advertising Week, one of several annual events hosted by the ICA. A mobile version of the site is scheduled to launch later this year.
