Toronto-based Open is on a beer run.

After being chosen as Bier Markt’s advertising AOR last fall, the creative agency has a couple of new beer-related wins under its belt: Open has been named AOR for Okanagan Spring (which is owned by Sleeman Breweries) and Old Milwaukee (which Sleeman brews in Canada for Pabst).

Open won Okanagan after a six-week RFP process. “Open gets the right balance of street credibility with our target and the aspirational needs of this niche,” said Rosy Atwal, senior brand manager at Sleeman Breweries, in a release.

So much so that Open’s win was broadened to include the Old Milwaukee brand as well.

Open will handle advertising and communications for both of the brands, from strategy to retail to media campaigns. The agency’s work for the brands will roll out this spring.

Open was founded by partners Christian Mathieu and Martin Beauvais in 2010. Other recent wins include Cineplex and Casey’s.
