Coca-Cola has a new Canadian media agency and is looking at possible creative partners.

Universal McCann is replacing Cossette as Coca-Cola Canada’s national media partner, following a review.

These reviews take place “regularly” and as part of the review, said Scott Tabachnick, corporate communications manager, Coca-Cola, in an e-mail to Marketing. “Universal McCann has been selected as our media partner.

“Competitive reviews are undertaken as a means of generating new ideas, information and opportunities for our brands, and are not the result of performance,” he said.

Coke is still in the midst of selecting an English Canada creative agency, said Tabachnick.

Last week the cola maker announced Publicis would handle French-language creative duties in Quebec following an agency review in the province.
