Fashion retailer Holt Renfrew announced Wednesday it has hired former Hello Canada publisher Lisa Tant to a newly created position – vice-president, fashion editor. Tant makes the move after just four months at Hello Canada.
The job is Tant’s first marketing position after 16 years in publishing at Rogers. Tant was long known as the public face of fashion magazine Flare, where she served as editor-in-chief and associate publisher for eight years before joining Hello Canada in June.
Tant will be tasked with promoting Holt Renfrew on social media, an area she championed during her time at Flare. She will report to Alix Box, senior vice-president of sales and marketing, and work in partnership with the fashion direction, brand strategy and PR teams.
“We’re pleased to further extend Holt Renfrew’s market reach and voice through this exciting new role,” Box said. ”Lisa is a great addition to the team, with a proven track record of driving results through fashion media programs and content.”
Tant confirmed the new position on Twitter and stated she’ll be joining the Holt Renfrew team as of Nov. 26. In a release, she said she is excited about her role.
“I am thrilled to join this extraordinary brand at such an exciting time. I look forward to partnering with a team of great talents to further enhance Holt Renfrew’s profile,” Tant said.
