Holt Renfrew is raising the curtain on its latest window display with four live burlesque shows set inside the front windows of its downtown Toronto location this Saturday.
Burlesque is similar to the Holt Renfrew brand in that it’s “indulgent, a bit risqué and a lot of fun,” said Tracy Fellows, vice-president, marketing at the upscale retailer.
“Holt Renfrew strives to entertain our customers every time they enter our stores; Holts is a place where people can feel free to be indulgent, where they can escape, dream and fantasize,” she said.
The windows were designed and developed by the retailer’s creative director John Gerhardt, and were inspired by the shine and suggestive details of this season’s styles, said Fellows.
“It couldn’t be a better time to be a bit risqué and cheeky to counteract all the gloom and doom that we’ve experienced as of late,” Gerhardt said in a release.
Though the live performance is only scheduled for Holt’s flagship location, the burlesque theme will carry throughout the retailer’s locations, said Fellows.
In addition to a PR push from Paradigm PR, Holt Renfrew is promoting the event through its Facebook fan-page.
The performances will feature dancers from Toronto club, Jezebel with additional shows scheduled for June 6 and 20.
