Having turned the page on 2013, our eyes are trained on big things ahead in 2014. We have been lucky to enjoy the input of a passionate Editorial Advisory Board and have invited a new lineup to draw upon. We would like to extend a warm round of thanks to those who served on the outgoing board and offer a warm welcome to the 13 new members.

Again, our board is made up of a blue-chip who’s who in marketing. This time, consistent with our strategic priority to add more emphasis on marketers to reflect the decisions and budgets that drive this dynamic industry, we welcome a majority contingent of brands to our lineup. Our marketer board members are:

• Mark Childs, CMO, Samsung Electronics Canada
• Maggie Fox, SVP digital marketing, SAP
• Mary Josée Lamothe, CMO, L’Oréal Canada
• Janine Keogh, VP marketing insights & services, Mondelez Canada
• Jim Little, CMO, Shaw Media
• Cheryl Smith, EVP consumer and trade marketing, Parmalat Canada
• Uwe Stueckmann, SVP marketing, Loblaw Cos.

We’ve rounded out the group with top names on the agency and digital media side:

• Ted Boyd, CEO, One
• Sophie Chesters, country marketing manager for Canada, Google
• Raja Khanna, CEO, television & digital, Blue Ant Media
• Zak Mroueh, CEO, Zulu Alpha Kilo
• Karen Nayler, CEO, Mindshare Canada
• Mark Sherman, CEO, Media Experts

We look forward to drawing on their knowledge and insights as we continue to build the Marketing brand as Canada’s leading source of industry news, insight, dialogue and commentary across all platforms in our conferences, as well as in our newsletters, on our website and in our magazine.
