Being able to easily set up your TV anywhere in the house has a perk beyond practicality – it also opens doors to designing your space in new ways.
That’s an insight that came through during research on Optik TV, the new wireless digital box from Telus.
Telus and agency of record Taxi Vancouver have teamed up with design expert Debbie Travis to play up the interior design aspect of this insight. Travis has produced several home décor shows and written several painting and decorating books. She appears in a new spot for Optik TV in which she toys seductively with Danny, the installer from Telus. Travis is flirty throughout, directing the innocent installer to different spots in the room as she leisurely guides him along as she lounges nearby.
Tying back to the design-related insight that Telus and Taxi discovered, a superimposed line at the end of the commercial reads “Move the TV and restyle your room.”
Part of an integrated campaign that also includes print, magazine special buy, out of home, rich media and social, the “Hello Mrs. Travis” spot will run until May. Cossette handled the media buy.
