Microsoft Advertising has named Brandon Grosvenor vice-president of Microsoft Advertising‘s Canadian operations.

Brandon Grosvenor

Grosvenor arrives with nearly 20 years experience shaped largely by the print media industry. Most recently a senior vice-president of sales for Postmedia Network (where he oversaw both digital and newspaper sales nationally), he began his media career as an account executive with the Toronto Sun. From there, he held increasingly senior roles with Canwest and Sun Media’s newspaper properties, and spent four years at Yellow Pages Group before landing at Postmedia in 2011.

Reporting to Carlos de Torres, Microsoft Advertising’s general manager and vice-president of advertising and online at Microsoft Canada, Grosvenor takes over the role left vacant by Joe Strolz, who joined AOL Canada as its country manager in November.

“Brandon is a truly strategic media leader who has a remarkable ability to see what’s going on in the market, sense opportunity and deliver for his team, our customers and our partners,” said de Torres in a release.

Grosvenor is set to assume his new duties at the end of March. Postmedia said in a release that it is currently searching for his replacement.
