Andrea Fernandes

Fernandes was most recently direction of national sales for The Globe and Mail, responsible for the national daily’s digital, newspaper and magazine sales. With Jones Media, she will be responsible for business development and evolution of its first-party data.

Jones Media partner Cathy Fernandes said in a release that the company is seeing “significant growth,” expanding its relationships with retailers and traditional online publishers.

Since launching in June 2013, Jones Media has expanded its display offering to more than nine million uniques per month, while a recent partnership with SpotXchange has pushed its monthly video audience to more than 18 million uniques.

The company also has more than three million monthly uniques on mobile.

Andrea Fernandes’ sales management experience includes roles at Rogers Media, CanWest Media Sales and TC Media, where she spent more than three years before moving to The Globe and Mail.

With TC, she managed national sales for its digital properties and oversaw the 360 Custom Solutions group, building out digital partnerships that took it from four million to 18 million monthly uniques.
