Rogers Media has hired longtime Shaw Media sales executive Brad Kubota to oversee its Western Canada sales efforts. Kubota assumes the newly created role of vice-president, Western Canada media sales and client solutions on Dec. 2.
Based out of Vancouver, Kubota will oversee Rogers Media’s sales and client solutions teams in Western Canada, leading in the creation and execution of what the company described as “innovative sales solutions.”
Jack Tomik, chief sales officer for Rogers Media, lauded Kubota’s “extensive experience” in building client relationships by leveraging the expertise of integrated sales teams and called him an “ideal candidate” to oversee Rogers’ suite of media assets.
“Not only is he motivated by achieving results, he understands the unique and powerful role that Rogers Media can play in bringing comprehensive, integrated programs to life,” said Tomik in a release.
Kubota has more than 18 years of sales experience, most recently as regional sales director for Shaw Media, leading the Vancouver and Kelowna sales offices, marketing ventures and cable sales. He has also worked with CTV and Shaw Media forerunner Canwest.
He said that Rogers is leading the way in the North American media industry with its integrated sales approach. “I am very excited to be part of the momentum this model is creating and look forward to leveraging the company’s roster of leading brands,” he said.
