Meet Andre “Zoom” Anderson, a 19-year-old author and art director who, until recently, interned at Sid Lee in Montreal. He thinks he knows a thing or two about how youth view branding and how culture forms around it.
Before jetting back across the pond, Anderson gave a presentation on “what global brands can do for young people.” Sid Lee partner Justin Kingsley grabbed his phone to film Anderson, and showed the work to attendees at Marketing‘s Young Influencers Conference as part of his panel discussion. The result was a low-fi but compelling look inside the mind of a member of this very sought-after group.
Anderson addressed issue of advertiser ignorance and how to hook kids who are all-too-ready to click past an ad in favour of more compelling content.
Kingsley shared his thoughts on letting young consumers play a role in a brand’s public development.
