A&C is bullish about its future following a brand repositioning and a new account win that involves bulls.
The Toronto-based agency has won the account of the new-to-Canada PBR Monster Energy Canada Tour (Professional Bull Riders).
A&C will handle the nation-wide media tour for PBR Canada, a new, seven-city national bull riding series visiting five provinces. The agency won the account through an RFP.
A&C has also rebranded as a communications agency.
“For a long time we were solely a sponsorship and PR agency, but our expertise has broadened with the new market. The game has changed and we’ve had to evolve,” says A&C owner and president Bonnie Hillman. “This position gets us out of the limits of PR and sponsorship and better describes the work that we do now.”
The agency’s work now includes paid media strategy, content integration and production and consultancy on experiential and in-store marketing.
The agency was founded decades ago as Arts & Communications, but needed to find solutions for clients outside its “antiquated agency identity,” Hillman says.
A&C has also won the account of Toronto-based craft retailer Brika, which represents more than 400 artisans.
The agency, which won the account through word of mouth referral, will handle strategic marketing communications planning for Brika.
