Big data analytics firm SAS has elevated its Canadian VP of marketing, Cameron Dow, to president of SAS Canada.

Dow has been part of the company since 2000. He was promoted to VP of marketing for the Canadian region in 2004, and his portfolio was expanded to include Latin America in 2009.

SAS, which employs some 300 Canadians at six offices across the country, provides cloud-based enterprise analytics, with several solutions tailored for marketing and consumer research.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to build on SAS Canada’s success as market drivers like cloud, big data and the Internet of Things continue to revolutionize the software industry,” Dow said in a statement. “I believe analytics will continue to be a fundamental part of an organizations ability to succeed.”

Dow will replace Carl Farrell, who earlier this year was promoted to a global position as EVP and CRO.
