Netflix goes to prom
Following in the foot steps of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Netflix made the prom dreams of one consumer come true. A teenager tweeted Netflix to come as his date to his junior prom. It received 1,000 retweets, and the company decided to play along, outfitting him and his friends with a Grease-style hot rod and a John Travolta impersonator as a drive. Click through for the video.

Uber GM apologizes for harsh tweet
Uber’s New York general manager Josh Mohrer found himself in an online war of words after he jumped to his company’s defense on Twitter. A woman claimed she was kicked out of a cab after the driver explained he moonlighted for Uber and had to pick up a customer. She sent out an angry tweet, to which Mohrer replied with just as much gusto.

The drone wars hit a new high
Seems everyone and their cousin (okay, their cousin’s tech company) is into drones these days. But showing interest in the technology and acquiring a company that makes solar-powered satellites are two different things. Google has just taken its offering of robots and driverless cars to the next level—literally—by purchasing Titan Aerospace as part of its experimentation with flying drones.
