Eli Lilly Canada is taking a lighthearted approach with a new television spot that supports its erectile dysfunction drug Cialis.
The 30-second ad from DDB Canada follows “Frank” as he goes about his day explaining to people why he looks so great. While its implied that the use of Cialis is giving Frank an extra spring in his step, he attributes it to his new sweater, pants and glasses.
While the television commercial is meant to entertain audiences, it also provides an opportunity to shed light on the subject of erectile dysfunction, said Andre Eleuterio, senior brand manager for Cialis, in a release.
“We hope this ad makes Canadians aware that ED is manageable and that a wide range of effective treatment options exist,” said Eleuterio.
The ad is running for the next 13 weeks in both English and French on stations like TSN, BNN and CBC News Network.
