Yann Fortier has been appointed vice-president communication and corporate relations at the freshly rebranded Montreal agency Newad.

In the newly created role, Fortier will oversee all internal and external corporate communications, and contribute to Newad’s client and supplier relations, which includes sponsorship agreements.

“With the creation of the new vice-president position, Newad has reached a new stage in its development, appointing an experienced leader who will promote the company’s overall vision and the coherence of Newad’s corporate communication, ranging from strategic initiatives to the diffusion of our brand image,” said agency president Michael Reha, in a release.

Fortier first joined the agency six years ago as general manager of Newad’s Nightlife media division. Prior to this he held positions at Gesca, Zone 3 and Astral Media.

“Yann has shown his skill and efficiency in the management of complex projects, and stands out with his deeply perceptive comprehension of the challenges related to our field of work,” said Reha.
