Viewers across Canada can watch as the CBC and Mitsubishi Motors deliver this year’s Mitsubishi City Chase, premiering June 30.
This is the first time the event has been televised since it launched in 2003. Filmed at “City Chase” events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, the series will take viewers across Canada as teams of two run, walk and use public transit to navigate their way through the part obstacle course, part scavenger hunt, organized by the InField Marketing Group.
The first team to complete the required “chase points” and cross the finish line wins.
Each city will be featured in two half-hour episodes, and will conclude with a one-hour finale from the Canadian Championships in a location still to be determined, Sept. 4-6. Filming began May 10 in Vancouver, and moves to Calgary June 7, Toronto June 21 and Montreal on July 12.
“Our partnership with Mitsubishi demonstrates CBC’s capabilities to execute product integration opportunities that are strategic, organic and innovative,” said Byron Ells, director of integrated and digital sales, CBC, in a release. “It allows us to bring creative and original Canadian content to our viewers.”
CBC is producing Mitsubishi City Chase in partnership with Buck Productions in Toronto.
