Electrolux Home Care Products Canada has launched a new national advertising campaign and contest to introduce its UltraSilencer DeLux vacuum to the Canadian market.

The “You-compatible” campaign includes a magazine and animated TV ads that demonstrate how the new model won’t disrupt day-to-day activities because of its reduced noise levels (about 10 decibels quieter than the average vacuum, the company says).

The character in the ads can be seen vacuuming while talking on the phone and children sleep. The company is calling its new model the “quietest vacuum cleaner ever.”

“UltraSilencer DeLux is about vacuuming that suits your lifestyle–its whisper-quiet operation is conversation-compatible, sleeping kids-compatible, angry neighbour-compatible, and even hangover-compatible,” said Navia Sharma, director of marketing, Electrolux Home Care Products Canada, in a release.

Electrolux is giving away two of the models through a contest hosted on LoveToVacuum.com. Consumers can earn additional ballots by following the brand on Twitter and Facebook.

The company is also supporting the launch with PR efforts from Toronto-based PR agency Pilot PMR.
