Cossette Media chosen as AOR for Canadian Government

Three-year contract grants media agency planning and buying duties

With a federal election looming, one decision has already been made as to who will be working in Ottawa for the foreseeable future.

Cossette Media has been named the Government of Canada‘s media agency of record following a national review.

The agency will oversee media planing and buying under contract until at least Aug. 31, 2018, with the possibility of two one-year extensions (as is often the case with government contracts). They officially take the account on Sept. 1.

“We are happy to have won this prestigious mandate with the Government of Canada, as one of the country’s top five advertisers,” said Julie Courtemanche, co-media director at Cossette Media, in a statement. “With our capacity to deploy national campaigns and our successful track record in media planning and buying, we are fully equipped to begin this new chapter with the government.”

Canada’s various government agencies work with a number of creative businesses for their various communication needs.
