SC Johnson is taking a show on the road to support its Scrubbing Bubbles line of bathroom cleansers.

The manufacturer of household cleaning supplies is supporting its line of cleaners with the Scrubbing Bubbles Road Show trailer, outfitted with flushing toilets, sinks with running water and a fully tiled shower.

The objective is to create a consumer-friendly approach that cuts through the cleanser category clutter, said Steve Medcalf, account director of Launch, the Toronto-based integrated promotions agency responsible for the effort.

“It really makes the product relevant to the consumers because they can see the efficacy of the product in all settings, on tiles, on shower doors, the toilet, the sink and on glass,” he said. “It’s a whole lot more dynamic than the same lady who does all the demos in the same store.”

A three-person demonstration team and Scrubbing Bubbles mascot run the trailer show, stopping at 150 Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire location across Ontario. Shoppers also receive a $1 off coupon and Bathroom Wipes towelette samples.

The Scrubbing Bubbles lineup consists of 10 bathroom cleansers including an automatic shower cleaner, toilet bowl and aerosol cleaners as well as a mildew stain remover.

The promotion wraps up at the end of July.
