Aviva’s multimedia campaign included television spots, out-of-home ads and online banners, which all played on the negative views consumers have of insurance companies and led viewers to a microsite. The site featured a detailed survey loaded with absurd questions that was designed to highlight the frustration that people encounter when dealing with an insurance company. After winding participants up with the ridiculous questionnaire, the site-created by Taxi Toronto-delivered the payoff, giving consumers a chance to voice their opinions about how the insurance industry could improve. With a deft mix of humour, insight and technology, Aviva and Taxi injected some personality into the insurance category.

Thanks to an innovative navigation scheme, users can choose the level of detail with which to investigate the various destinations, with different paths leading to videos, statistics, historical tidbits and more. Site visitors are also able to enter a contest by playing a trivia game and play a male stripper viral game. With its cheeky attitude, interactivity and technological brilliance, the site is almost as fun to visit as the city itself.
