Agfa Graphics has promoted Ruben Silva (pictured) from the role of managing director for Agfa Graphics in Canada to the position of vice president of sales and service at Agfa Graphics North America.
Silva, who joined Agfa in March 2006, had been responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing activities in Canada, including the development and implementation of programs and initiatives.
"Ruben has an impressive background in developing new opportunities for sales growth in many areas of the professional graphic communications industry, as well as a deep understanding of the elements that drive the print business. He is a valued member of the team," said Peter Wilkens, President, Agfa Graphics, North America in the announcement release.
Silva bring over 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, previously holding both technical and sales management positions at Presstek Canada, AB Dick, Itek Graphics and Gestetner.
