Print Industry Mourns Loss of Blair McLaren

Blair McLaren, vice president of manufacturing with the family-owned McLaren Press Graphics of Bracebridge, passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Thursday, March 17 at the age of 59.

Blair battled cancer for three months. He is missed by his wife Debbie, two daughters Lisa and Sarah, his parents John and Marney McLaren, and his brothers Scott and Drew.

Blair’s start in the printing industry began at the age of 14, working part-time at McLaren Morris and Todd (a company is father co-founded). With brothers Scott and Drew, Blair was a founding partner of McLaren Press Graphics and the leader of McLaren’s premedia and printing operations, overseeing the printing plant and keeping the company abreast of new technology.

The funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bracebridge on Saturday, March 26.
