Two-new 100 percent post-consumer product lines have been released by the fine papers group of Cascades.
The new papers, designed for the commercial printing market, are called Rolland Enviro100 Satin and Cascades Enviro Kraft Print.
The smooth Rolland Enviro100 Satin has a treated surface and combines the print quality characteristics of coated paper (and a 92 brightness) with the hearty texture of an uncoated sheet. Like other sheets manufactured at Cascades’ Saint-Jérôme, Que.-based paper mill, it is made using local and renewable biogas energy and is also FSC, EcoLogo, and Processed Chlorine Free certified. It is offered in text sheets with basis weights of 60-lb., 70-lb. and 80-lb. and 80-lb. cover.
The new Cascades Enviro Kraft Print offers a real gritty “enviro” look and feel. The oatmeal-coloured paper is neither cardboard nor fine paper, yet it’s suitable for conventional commercial and digital printing processes. The Enviro Kraft Print sheets are FSC and EcoLogo certified and the recommended uses for the kraft paper include any type of promotional materials.
